Afrin Stele
Middle section of a four-sided stele was found in a field near the town of Afrin, apparently not in situ. Roughly 0.5 meter wide fragment shows a partial Storm-God figure in one face (A) and a Hieroglyphic Luwian inscription on the other sides. Right side (D) of the stele has not survived. The left (B) and back (C) displays a three-line inscription which is too short and damaged to provide an insight to the context. It was in Ain Dara excavation house in 1995. Its current whereabouts is unclear.
