Arslantepe Gate Lion

The gate lion is from the right side of the inner gate of the Lion Gate at Arslantepe. It is cut from a white limestone orthostat slab. Unlike its counterpart, the block has no inscriptions. It measures 1.19 m in height and 1.43 m in length. It may be dated to the 12th-11th century BCE. Currently in the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.
