Lion Hunt Orthostat
Relief of lion hunt with hieroglyphic luwian inscription. Found in 1894 by a peasant at Arslantepe. Hawkins reads the inscription as: "These shootings (are) of Halpasulupis, grandson of Taras(?) the Hero, the lord of the city Malizi, son of Wasu(?)-runtiyas(?), the King(?)." The grandfather of the author, Taras, is also the author of Izgın stele. Halpasulupis name also appears on one of the gateway lions at arslantepe. Limestone relief is arguable dated to 11th-10th cent BCE. Currently in Anatolian Civilizations Museum, Ankara.
