Funerary Stele

The seated couple is shown in a typical "dining scene." The husband is holding a wheat stalk and a bunch of grapes, and the wife is holding a spindle in one hand and a cup in the other. The basalt stele is about 94 cm in height and 81 cm in width. Stylistically, a date in the 9th century BCE has been suggested. It was previously in the Borowski Collection. Currently in the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem.
