Gate Lion from Hilani II

The basalt gate lion was found near Hilani II. It measures about 1.30 meters in length, 1 meter in height, and 0.46 meters in width. It was probably situated in front of the nearby-found sphinx relief at the gate of the Hilani II, in a setting similar to the one at Sakçagözü. It is dated to a time around the late 8th to early 7th century BCE.
